Umm, I hate to sound like an annoying loser (ah who am I kidding? I always do anyway...) but they're not really that stupid. They're also not lesbians. What they are (or at least were for the duration of their "career") is a marketing ploy. Sex sells! Especially when it's lesbian sex.
