I've decided to make a thread which thoroughly instructs members to be overall better posters, and is basically a posting guideline. Myself and many others are getting frankly fucked with the way people are posting these days. This isn't a ranting thread, but a thread which is beneficial to the forum. This way of posting doesn't have to be followed, but I feel the forum will benefit a lot from having good posting and not the spammy sort which can get very annoying. If mods wanna add to this, then obviously go ahead:
* As Whale Tail forum is used worldwide it may be unfair to limit the language to just English. But can members try to type in English as the majority of members of this forum are fluent in it and understand it.
* Try not to use too much slang or text type such as; "xellent post m8 luv 2 c more". It frankly looks unprofessional and can't really be taken seriously literately either. The use of punctuation and paragraphing wouldn't go a miss either!
* Make your posts interesting or at least seem relevant. It's okay to comment on an image and just say, "wow" or "amazing", but comments like "thanks" are just plain as you may not have even bothered viewing the post. You can add the thanks whilst also commenting about what you actually see, contribution!
* Linking and codes: If you want to link a website, please use the code option on the Go Advanced button. This makes it easier for members to see, avoids hotlinking and looks cleaner than just a copied and pasted URL. Please view this (http://www.whaletail.com/showthread.php?t=1473) thread and Byrnsie will explain.
* Thumbnails: Hosting images on sites such as freeporndumpster, or boxtheclown enable the use of thumbnails. Thumbnails allow members to actually view the content on the thread instead of clicking a hyperlink. Using image hosts also prevents viruses, some sites linked to images contain viruses unfortunately. Please view this (http://whaletail.com/showthread.php?t=2899) thread to image host.
* Try and post in the correct sections. Of course members may make mistakes but it can easily be moved. Garv hasn't made this (http://www.whaletail.com/showthread.php?t=101) a sticky thread for no reason! Sections such as 'celeb thongs' and 'Celeb NON THONGS' are easy to differentiate.
- For example; celebrities in normal bikinis, or candid images showing NO thongs would go into 'Celeb NON THONGS' - a celebrity actually showing a thong would go into 'celeb thongs'. People are getting irritated with the amount of wrong postings.
* If you want to request a certain celebrity, make your request in the REQUEST SECTION. Posting a new thread with no images and just a request in the wrong section is deemed pointless. If there isn't a thread with a celeb already in it, go and make your request. If you actually have images of a celebrity who HASN'T got a thread, please post in the relevant section areas. (Use the search function)
* If you want to x-ray a pic, then please learn what an x-ray is, and how to actually x-ray successfully. Don't just post pictures of girls in jeans and black shirt with no results. Try Googling 'photoshop x-rays tutorial' or something, to actually learn first before you post.
