It's idiotic to care if your thong is showing. There are only two reasonable reasons for wearing one in the first place.

1. To attract the attention of others.
2. To stop "panty lines" and thus look more presentable with tighter trousers.

Anything else is just nonsense.

Why wear such a glamorous and eye-alluring article of clothing if you're going to be self-conscious about people seeing it?

I used to be so annoyed at girls who would cover them up during school.

and thats coming from a guy, so you have totally no real idea of what your talking about. those are 2 reasons, but theres other reasons, like the simple fact that thongs are more comfortable than normal underwear (believe it or not) and the fact that it would be pretty much an embarasment to be caught in a locker room with anything but a thong (not that girls look at eachother in the locker rooms, it would be like a boy in the lockerroom changing and everyone sees his whitey tightys...)

thongs might be sexy sometimes, but the majority of the time, its just our underwear, nothing special about them, and being as that its "slutty" to walk around with your thong coming out, and lots of guys act weird when you do, it has been deemed appropriate by the millions and millions of thong wearers, to hide their underwear.

so please stop only seeing things from a horny guy's perspective.

My girl isn't awre of it showing, because most of the time when it's popping out, she tries to cover it and pull them back in her pants. But sometimes when she wears no belt and she doesn't pay attention on it, it's realy showing good, I have some pics of her in town when she gets out of the car and tries to get something from the backseats, her thong was showing when I stood after her and a lot of people could see it too. Enjoy!

and thats coming from a guy, so you have totally no real idea of what your talking about.

Just because I'm male my opinion is disqualified?

What if I were some kind of thong historian who had interviewed billions of thong wearers for two decades? Would my opinion still be of no use to you?

those are 2 reasons, but theres other reasons, like the simple fact that thongs are more comfortable than normal underwear (believe it or not)

I've never heard a single girl express this feeling. Besides you're arguing subjectivity. It may be more comfortable for you, but I've heard dozens of girls complain about the concept of a thong going down their butt crack. Unless you have a link which shows a poll where 100% preferred a thong to regular underwear, I'd say your opinion has no more weight than mine,

and the fact that it would be pretty much an embarasment to be caught in a locker room with anything but a thong (not that girls look at eachother in the locker rooms, it would be like a boy in the lockerroom changing and everyone sees his whitey tightys...)

That simply doesn't make any sense. Who is really shallow enough to let mere fashion of the times sway their own personal choices and opinions? "Oh no, the gals in the locker room will chastise me for not wearing the newest brand of trendy thong underwear!"

If girls in the locker room are like guys in the locker rooms, then nobody would ever know what kind of underwear a girl wore. Guys make it a point in their minds not to even accidentally look down at a friend or whoever is changing near them. That sort of thing can inspire awkward and unwarranted behavior with "manly men" a great deal of times.

thongs might be sexy sometimes, but the majority of the time, its just our underwear, nothing special about them, and being as that its "slutty" to walk around with your thong coming out, and lots of guys act weird when you do, it has been deemed appropriate by the millions and millions of thong wearers, to hide their underwear.

But it's a hypocritic and idiotic stance, don't you see?

How old are you? I'm 18 and when I was in high school they made it a rule that girls must conceal their underwear and not wear shirts revealing too much waist, or pants too low on the waist. Why do you think this is? It's obviously because the sight of those things to a person who is attracted to females (whether a straight male or a lesbian female) is a distraction and an alluring thing. I think that it's quite obvious that thongs are designed to be sexy and eye-catching. If they were designed solely for underwear then they would all be a plain color with no pictoral design on them.

And who deemed these decisions at all? A secret community consisting of all the world's thong wearing people? No, of course not. It was "deemed" appropriate by the internal morality in each person who realized that wearing sexy (read: exotic, eye-catching, alluring, unusual, interesting) underwear outside of the pants for all the public to see was a lack of values and self-respect. Whether this happened subconsciously or not, it did happen.

Since you are on a forum which seems to be filled with men, I'm sure that you can now see the attraction that we see in thongs. We (or at least I don't) pay no attention whatsoever to "granny panties" and it's only thongs which even spark my imagination.

so please stop only seeing things from a horny guy's perspective.

Why don't you stop seeing things from an attention seeking girl's perspective?

Hi everyone, I'm new.

I think that if a girl says she only wears thongs for the comfort, she is an hypocryte girl. Often we can read funny messages on the triangle. Thongs are made for others to look at and to make the wearer feeling proud and sexy. Most of the girls I know (a lot) are complexed and don't want to be seen as the ugly and disgusting cow nobody would touch with a 10 foot long perch. For example, I am always reassuring my gf that she is hot, and she truly is, but she is always unsure and needs me telling her (I wont post pics because she isnt 18 years old, maybe I'll post some when she will be).

PS: sorry for my english, I'm from quebec and french is my primary language.:icon_pidu:

it would be like asking a guy about bras. so pretty much, yes.

What if I were some kind of thong historian who had interviewed billions of thong wearers for two decades? Would my opinion still be of no use to you?
your not. so this is stupid. your a horney guy on the internet.

I've never heard a single girl express this feeling. Besides you're arguing subjectivity. It may be more comfortable for you, but I've heard dozens of girls complain about the concept of a thong going down their butt crack. Unless you have a link which shows a poll where 100% preferred a thong to regular underwear, I'd say your opinion has no more weight than mine,
uhm well im a girl, and ive heard many girls opinions on matters like this. girls that complain about their thongs get them in sizes too small, your supposed to get thongs a little bigger, its more comfortable because they dont rise up your butt anymore. your poll demand is stupid, find me a poll, or a group of mature girls who say thongs are uncomfortable, untill then, im a girl, and my knowledge on this subject is bigger than yours

That simply doesn't make any sense. Who is really shallow enough to let mere fashion of the times sway their own personal choices and opinions? "Oh no, the gals in the locker room will chastise me for not wearing the newest brand of trendy thong underwear!"
it makes total sense. would you wear a thong to school if you knew you had to change in front of your football friends (lets pretend you have some) no.... as a girl i would hate to have other girls see me in granni panties. its not about wearing the newest brand of trendy underwear, honestly no one would notice, its about the type, and being seen in grannie panties would be embarassing.

If girls in the locker room are like guys in the locker rooms, then nobody would ever know what kind of underwear a girl wore. Guys make it a point in their minds not to even accidentally look down at a friend or whoever is changing near them. That sort of thing can inspire awkward and unwarranted behavior with "manly men" a great deal of times.

sure it can, but you must notice if someone is changing in whity tighties, if not, then i guess guys/girls locker rooms are different, we dont check ourselves out and have hot lesbian sex, but if someone is wearing grannie panties, someone will notice..

But it's a hypocritic and idiotic stance, don't you see?

im not saying that thongs are worn for purley non-sexually appealing reasons, but what you first said was completely stupid and naive.

I wish you would have quoted properly so that I don't have to memorize what you've said to respond to it. You have called me a stupid and naive male, yet you're the one with horrible grammar, spelling, and terrible knowledge of how to do a simple thing like quote someone correctly online.

You said that a male discussing a female's perspective on thongs is like a male discussing a female's perspective on bras. With such, I agree with you.

I don't like the fact that you keep calling me a "horney guy on the internet" (sic) because that implication is a nasty one. It's your attempt to lower my character, and thus insult my arguments by attacking me for being on this site. What is, may I ask, your reason for being on this site?

You did not refute my argument about the shallow mind set of one who cares about the opinion of another on vain things like underwear. Just face it, you're shallow and vain if you actully care what your locker room pals think of your underwear. This isn't an opinion on politics or religion where opinion really is strong and worthy of respect and cause for some to feel embarrassed for sharing an unpopular view.

Tell me, if thongs are just so comfortable, why weren't they designed many years ago rather than quite recently?

Tremor Christ
11th December 2006, 03:44 PM
im a college guy with a girlfriend and she says that thongs are way more comfortable than regular underwear and so do most girls i talk to...only times its different is if its their time of the month(sometimes of course).i mean i wear boxers b/c they are more comfortable and b/c tighty whiteys are to be laughed at...tremor christ...try talking to a few girls before making assumptions...yes some girls wear thongs to feel sexy but thats only for them to know and see not every oogling ugly freak in the class or world...try thinking b4 u speak.

Why do you type like that if you go to college and are receiving a college education?

I agree that some may find thongs more comfortable, and some may not. It's subjective. This is why women in the West may look at the dress of women in the East and say "Oh, I could never wear that stuff. It looks awfully uncomfortable..."

Why are "tighty whiteys" to be mocked? Why? That is such a stupid and shallow thing to say that I cannot even bear to think of the stupidity behind the assertion.

"...try thinking b4 u speak." Do you write like that on college papers? I'm sure your teachers love your expressive use of the english language.

According to my girlfriend, it is real that thongs are more comfortable than any other type of panties (I can't confirm, I never tried one myself, and I don't think I will. I think it is kind of weird). But the reality is that, thongs are sexier than basic white cotton panties, a lot more. they are eye-catching and the sexy thing is that the ass isnt covered. We are closer to the next step when we see our gf's thong sticking out than seeing cotton panties. what I'm saying is, want it or not, your thong is more interesting, and it is not real that all the female thong wearers only wears them for the comfort. Many (I think most) of them enjoy to be pleasing to see and desirable. Still, I know some very slutty girls who like to show their thong and like some sort of game, they play the role of the insecure girl who wasnt aware of it, and then hide it. But before, they have made sure you have seen it, then the two of you talks a little and it ends that she only want to fuck:icon_keel: . That is hypocryte.

Rock on!:icon_kidra: :icon_pidu:

ummm tremor christ its called short hand abbreviation and no i dont use it on college papers so nice try....you really must not be too open to the world or internet interaction w/ppl(im type)....u type faster this way sry if u didnt know tht

That's certainly quite debatable.

It wouldn't be faster typing for me since I'm not used to typing using common internet abbreviations. If I were to use them I'd be staring at the keyboard and trying to think of how I can shorten words and still retain their meaning.

How much faster do you actually think it is though? I will bet that it's about .3 of a second faster and not much more at all. I wonder if there is a way we could time a post... perhaps write the exact time we begin typing (agree on a sentence) and then write the ending time.

I didn't mean any insult, really. It's just slightly annoying when people with whom english is their mother tongue dismantle the language and abuse it. The user above who said he's from Quebec... if he's learning english spelling and grammar from regular use by people like us, then he might learn improper writing.

Bah, changing words like you to u, later to l8r, leaving the vowels out of other words and the such just makes it harder to read in my opinion. That use to be the fad back when I was like, 14. It kind of lost its novelty after a while.

so when you need to apply math to real world situations do you pull out a pen (opps pencils only!) and a paper, and show all your works (dont forget not to skip a step!!)

im sorry, i dont triple check my spelling and puncuation when arguing with guys on the internet.

Sorry, Dollface, you avoided the point.

Math class applies that method to certain the fact that the student is learning and not cheating on their work. In school, you are asked to show your work so that the teacher may further understand how your mind works, and if you have understood their teaching well enough.

The point of math class is to drill that information into your mind so that a pencil and paper become extras and not needed at all. Clearly you must have missed this point in math and english class.

If you don't check your spelling and punctuation thrice then it simply shows that your mind doesn't work well enough anyway when it comes to this stuff. A person whose mother tongue is english should not be spelling things badly in the first place. Bigger words which are less common in daily use are more understandable when spelt badly.

You should be glad about our (human) ability to read and write. Do you understand that this is what sections us off from ALL other animals and ALL other life? From the age of two and three a human may speak and read. Humans have "inner speech" which no other creature has at all. We think in symbolic languages, filled with images and the language we use in outer speech. This is a unique human trait and yet people totally ignore this and operate in their minds like mere animals.

Our "inner speech" is a result of our higher consciousness. All life has consciousness to varying degrees, yet humans have attained the highest consciousness of all life that can be observed. Why waste this?

Tremor Christ, I commend you for your patience with these dolts.

I'm so fucking sick of people's ass-backwards perspective when it comes to the double standard.

The double standard is, was, and forever will be nothing but people letting their dicks and minges do their thinking for them, instead of their minds. We see it all the time. I'm sorry, but last time I checked, my dick comes in handy for one purpose and one purpose only, and good solid debate is not it. So for someone to come up with a mind numbingly stupid "you're a horny guy, you don't know how women THINK" comeback, having no ties whatsoever with the original point of the debate, that being the shallow and arrogant mentality of today's sheepish and attention starved youth, is something that really GRINDS MY GEARS.

Look at all the uncomfortable shit people, more notebly women, put themselves through, just so, despide through cheap and lazyass means, they end up with the opposite sex drooling over them. Holding back true opinions, going through costly ongoing cosmetic surgeries, painfull 4 inch heels, skirts one cannot move in, unwashable makeup, peroxide, drilling holes through their bodies and skulls (otherwisely known as "art"), dumping gallons of perfume on themselves...and yes, wearing thongs.

Yeah, guys like it, my dick likes it too, but that doesn't automatically make it a good thing.
