Why can't I see any pictures?

Hey there!!

I am a new user... and I feel like I am missing out on all kinds of amazing pictures. Every thread that I go in to, I can not see any of the pictures that are posted. All I can see is the text that users and typing, and their user display pic and signatures, but NO PICTURES!!!!!!!! Can anyone help me!?!?! PLEASE!!!!

it sounds like you've got firewall or security settings set to something a bit too high.

well right click on the pic and pick "show picture" if nothing happens then like garv said it might be your firewall or settings, check to see if you can lower them :) glad to have you here

ditto. I can see pretty much all of the pics, but some just don't show up. And there are no placeholders for me to click on either. I tried lowering my firewall security but it made no difference. Here's an example of a thread I can't see:

well you arent missing much in that thread, he used a camera phone so the pics are fuzzy and hard to see..... :(

I'm using XP and Firefox. On a possibly related issue, I can't see the DS forum page either. I've tried repairing my connection and manually clearing the cache and deleting history and cookies, but nothing works.

We have the same problem with someone on DS,,I think he was on Blue yonder. Do you run through a Router or off a Modem

is it still happening? FPD and DS moved servers and DNS names maybe taking a little longer with your ISP to get up to speed.

You may of accidently set your browser to display text only for this site?

some people routers were still caching the DS sites old IP address. You may need to read up on how to flush the cache on your modem or adjust the DS entry in your firewall software to update its info withthe new IP information. Ive also done some research and it seems the most recent Windows service update is causing people issues with images on vBulletin forums

I'm having the same problem. When I scroll over the thread link I see the link to the picture, but when I go to the page there is nothing there.

Check your internet settings,,if the security is set to high you won't see the pics

yes it must be something on your internet settings, as if it's happening with both dumpstersluts and whale tail, they're using different forum specs.

I am in the same boat i can't see crap... my firewall is off and the cache and cookies are dumped... i even went so far as to unload firefox and reload it in hopes that that would work any suggestions?

I am new to this foram and am getting the same issue with the pics. I followed the thread and I can see the pics on dumpster but not on this site. using Winxp and IE7 have played with all the firewall settings as outlined and no change.

Again, see if your settings for pics is originating site only. Also lower your security settings by one.
You'd also be safer using FireFox

I am having the same problem, i have tried both firefox and IE7 i have allowed the website to be a trusted site and turned my firewall off and yet i still cnt see any pictures...:icon_cry:

as it sounds like you've tried everything that you should, haven't got a secondary firewall, hardware one maybe, or something like Mcrappy causing issues?
