View Full Version : Self Conscious Girls

I noticed a couple of girls lately in one of my classes that seem way too self-conscious about their thong and/or buttcrack showing. I suppose I could sort of understand attempting to cover yourself, but they are actually checking their lower back every 10 minutes or so, just to make sure nothing is showing and they'll desperately tug their shirts down. And to top it off, they have tattoos on their lower backs.
What I don't understand is that if you're going to have a lower back tattoo, and wear a sexy thong, why are you constantly trying to avoid possible show? I'm not a girl, so I don't understand...plus, being a guy I naturally find whale tales sexy :)
It just annoys me. I feel like saying "stop trying to cover yourself! its hot!" lol

yea thats the truth..... i guess girls are VERY uncertain about what they want now a days, its like you buy the thong get the tat wear the tiny shirts but try and stop all of the above from happening, doesnt make sense to me but i still look any way :)

I don't know about where you guys live... but the trend in my area is sliding towards being conservative again. In general the only people you ever see with a thong sticking out now are the skanks.
I think the trend is even beginning to show in stores. Places like LaSenza have been gravitating towards boy cut underwear and have even come out with a seamless full cut underwear line that eliminates panty lines without the need for a thong.
Last summer when my girlfriend and I went shopping about 80% of the stores underwear was thongs. Now when we go shopping I would say that it is around 40% and shrinking. The Wal-Mart near us has practically pulled them out of their store altogether.

I agree, a couple of years ago it was rare for me to go a day without seeing multiple thongs in class. Now I rarely see one, and if I do, they hide it with their shirt and then pull their pants up.

yeah sadly the end of 2004 Summer australia, was the end of the whale tail, trousers went back to being higher up and every woman that got a tattoo to go with her hipsters started to look very dumb!
I think it took a little while longer due to seasonal paterns to hit the northern hemisphere. you lucky bastards!

Yes, thongs appear to be fading away.
Even two years ago, I used to see at least two a day in school alone. These days it's hard for me to spot one a week...
I've also noticed that a few girls who used to wear thongs now wear panties. >.>

They have been fading away as of late but I encourage my wife to show her thongs and I show my thongs as much as possible. When we go out to eat or go to a bar I try to make sure her thong is sticking out so everyone can see it. I think its sexy that other guys and girls find my wife attractive.

yeah, thongs are still the popular choice where I'm at. It's just really annoying when I see girls desperately try to cover themselves up. If you're going to wear a sexy thong and have a lower back tattoo, what's the point if you're just going to try to cover it up constantly?

My girlf said to me the other day that the majority of her friends wear"boy shorts" She promised she would not stop wearing thongs .all i can say is summer is almost on us so chicks start to wear less.

it's not necessarily the fad I'm confused about, but the reason why a girl would either A) wear a sexy thong, or B) get a lower back tatoo when she's going to be so self conscious that she's always covering it up. What's the point?

It's sad but true, whale tail sightings have significantly diminished over the past few years. It;s terrible that some chicks who wear thongs are pulling down their shirts and covering these beautiful tails. And a lot less women are wearing the booty framing lingerie. Whale tails are getting harder to come by so we should appreciate them whenever we get to see one. Save the Whale tail!!!!

my girlfriend is very consious of her thong showing, no matter what she does she always puts her hand on her back side and makes sure nothing is showing, she does it so much that it brings more attention than if she just had her whale tail showing, i mean even girls comment about it to her, she just says it is habit. she even does it when it is just me and her together, but then when she has no bottoms on at all she just walks around in a thong all the time, most of the time when she is at my house she is always walking around in just a thong, girls are wierd.

I completely agree with just about everything in this thread. Where I am from g-strings were synomynous with sluts etc but because everyone wanted to wear super low and tight pants they all had to wear them! It was stupid because most girls didnt deliberately show them off and only a few were game to let what would happen happen! I tried telling most girls that they were just like normal underwear and no one cared if normal panties popped out (well not cared in a bad way!) but they got all defensive. It was a real psychological thing.
1 a month now if i am lucky!

Basically, this is the answer. The nirvana. The manna from heaven. All and everything in three words.
Ready?:
Girls are silly.
Seriously, its just one of those things many women do. Kind of like how men will get a boner for pretty much anything, even stuff unrelated to sexy stuff ("Ron, you defeated the Death Knight! Just pull the sword out and!...why do you have a boner?").
Now let the maddening continue.

Thongs ain't fading, it's bitches who want to show them are.
They want to hide them for their significant other.
Now the new trend is to show your pussy from your skirt when you ain't wearing any underwear.

Isn't that a very very old trend being revived? God, ask someone from Mark Twain's time, "ahhh yessum, we did that".
I hate Cosmopolitan magazine and all the shit like htat >_<.
